Painting of an Indus town beside a river, seen from the top of a wall: flat-roofed brick houses, potters at the water's edge, fields beyond.

Indus

A classic city-builder, set in the ancient Indus Valley.

Build and manage thriving cities in Indus, a classic-style isometric city-builder set in one of history’s least-explored ancient civilizations. Plan grid streets and drains, keep water, grain and goods moving to every home, raise monuments, and grow farming villages into great Bronze Age cities.

Plastered courtyard houses around a shade tree hung with cloth, with a well and people in the lane.

Evolve Houses

Start with simple reed huts that upgrade as you meet their needs – water, food, pottery, cloth, and so much more. Houses move through seven tiers all the way to a two-storey house with its own well.

A walled craft quarter: a trading yard, pottery racks, smoking kilns and copper workshops.

Build Production Chains

Build dozens of different buildings, workshops, and production chains to meet the ever-growing needs of your citizens. Grow cotton, weave it and dye it. Fire pottery, dry fish, carve seals, and drill beads.

A river crossed by a timber bridge, a boat on the water and oxen ploughing fields on both banks.

Manage Floods and Wildlife

The river floods every year, providing rich soil for your crops. But you’ll also need to protect your houses and buildings from its effects. Local wildlife raids the fields until guards and watch posts drive them off. The land of Indus is alive, and you’ll learn to thrive within its challenges.

Raise Great Works

Recreate great structures from history, pushing your cities and production to their limits. These are the crowning achievements of your cities, raised stage by stage with every brick and worker you can spare.

Rooted in History

We were careful to use archaeologically attested facts to guide the game. The settlements, resources, technologies, and culture are all based on what has been found, with limited reconstructions.
